States and countries all over the world are constantly updating their health and safety rules and regulations which include travel requirements. As of 17th December 2020, the state of California mandates visitors to California from other states or countries and/or Californians traveling back from another state or country to self quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. However, they advise to keep a check on the overall health for at least a period of 14 days.
Additionally, one must also limit interactions with others as much as possible. It is important to note that these rules will not apply to those who are traveling for essential travel i.e work, studies, medical and security professionals, infrastructural support, economic services, and supply chains. Non essential travel includes those traveling for tourism and recreation.
People are encouraged to stay home and reduce travel and chances of exposure as much as possible. However, travelers over the age of 16 are required to submit an online form before entering the state of California.
